Community
From nutrition days to health clinics, we prioritize the health and wellness of everyone in the villages. Read on to discover how each community is being cared for.
New Day New Life

Children
Teaching English is the primary focus while working with the children of each village. For Christmas, donations helped purchase new uniforms for the kids. Each student also received their own pouch of school supplies. From the ABCs to the colors of the rainbow, the children gain free supplemental education to help them excel in their studies. Teenagers are also being taught conversational English in weekly afternoon classes.

Widows
Afternoons in each village are often spent in community with small groups of widows, mothers, and grandmothers. Food is shared, and support is given as each person that comes can talk about their life. Many of these women also take care of multiple children. Therefore, additional games and teaching happen in the afternoon as well.

Medical Clinic Care Point
Blood pressure, temperature, and blood sugar tests are done regularly in each village. These procedures help indicate if someone needs further medical care at the hospital. To help families that cannot afford specific medical care, a doctor and nurse can run a medical clinic on behalf of New Day New Life. During these free clinics, anyone from the village can receive free, professional medical care. Additionally, dentists from Siem Reap have also come to the villages to provide free dental procedures.

Nutrition
A balanced diet helps a village grow strong and healthy. The nutrition care points include education on what creates a good, fueling meal. Additionally, community meals are hosted each month. Anyone from the community can come to take as much as they can eat and more for their families. Eating a meal together builds a relationship with community members while showing what a balanced meal looks like.
